About this song: I decided that I was going to give myself 60 minutes to write, compose, and produce an entire song. Here’s the notes that I took:
- 11 minutes of thinking quietly while staring at my wall;
- 24 minutes writing the lyrics;
- 2 minutes recording drum track and organ;
- 10 minutes recording first vocal track and guitar;
- 4 minutes to record second vocal track;
- 6 minutes tweaking equalizer settings for each track
- 2 minutes to export the song in mp3 format
By the time I clicked “stop” on my timer I was at 59 minutes and 6 seconds.

Oh yeah, and you’ll definitely want to use headphones or non-laptop speakers. For some reason I can’t target the bass channel correctly to get laptops to sound right. Oh well. If it’s all you got it’s all you got. Cheers!
